We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Licensing Officers to join our Population & Public Health department serving Health Protection Services located in Surrey, BC.

Build on your education and career experience as you:

    •Evaluate the provision of care to ensure it is achieving intended legislative outcomes with respect to monitoring that persons in care are safe, that their health is being promoted and their dignity maintained. •Prioritizes inspection duties and generates inspection forms and other documentation. •Provide information, guidance, and consultation to licensees, facility staff, licensing colleagues, and other individuals or groups regarding legislation, care requirements, and the provision of quality care. •Plan and implements educational opportunities for licensees and facility staff as the need is identified. •Develops, implements and evaluates Licensing resources, and shares these with Licensees as required.

To join our team you will have:

    •Diploma in a related Social Sciences discipline such as Psychology, Social Services, Criminology, Practical Nursing •Three (3) years’ recent related experience working with a vulnerable population group as defined in the Residential Care legislation •Valid Class V BC Driver’s License and possession of a personal vehicle.
