The maintenance mechanic is involved in troubleshooting to assess repair requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesComply with all policie and procedures of Cam-Slide as well as company objectives related to quality, health and safety, environmental and other legislative requirementsInteract with maintenance emplyoees to exchange technical information to facilitate teamwork in troubleshooting and repair processRepair and maintain all equipment and machines within the building to ensure the efficient, safe operation of all machinery with the shortest downtimePlans long-term repairs to be completed dureing planned downtimeFollows company escalation process on equipment downtime – ensuring everyone is aware of the problem, the repair and the root causeAll parameter changes to be documented as per company policyEnsures fluid levels are maintained at appropriate levels in respective equipment and machineryComplete work orders as requiredCheck contents of work orders with supervisor prior to repair or modification work and ensure that information is accurateTimely completion or repairs indicated on work ordersCompletes all PM tasks on equipment by due dates and makes the necessary suggestions to improve PM effectivenssProperly signs out parts from stock and orders appropriate replacements parts and fluidsResponsible to protect own health and safety by working in compliance iwth established safe working practices and follows company proceduresInspects all machinery for defects and potential problems in accordance with preventative maitnenance programs, repairing and replacing parts as require in specified time frameModifies machinery and equipment as directedInstall equipment (i.e. fans, conveyors, chutes, and guards)Repair of hydraulics and pneumaticsResponsible for all the coolants, oils, and chemicals being disposed of in a proper manner as per WHMIS and internal recycling programsMaintans a safe and clean work area at all timeAdhere to all IATF policies and proceduresMust comply with all ISO 14001 (Environmental) and OHSAS 18001 (Health and Safety) Systems and standards as it pertains to their workAbide by all AODA and C-TPAT procedures that apply to their positionPerformance MeasurementMaintenance work performed on timePrevenative vs Breakdown maintenanceProcess upgrades and improvementsSuccess of improvementsQuality of WorkAttendanceKey Qualifications/RequirementsIndustrial Millwright License 433A2-5 years’ experience with manufacturing equipment and maintenance in a manufacturing equipmentExperience with pneumatic and hydraulic systemsExperience with Motoman and ABB robotsAbility to work with minimal supervisionPrevious experience in the following: metal work, welding fabrication and machiningExperience with highly automated equipmentEffective communication skills (oral and written)Demonstrated ability to work in a team evironment07–Operations F–Permanent/Regular
