Working throughout Canada, Keller Foundations offers a wide range of foundation construction services to the civil, industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors of the construction industry; with cost effective solutions to a wide range of geotechnical problems.We are currently seeking a licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our shop team. The position is considered either an entry level position or an apprenticeship position.Duties and Responsibilities: Work under the guidance of the Head MechanicPerform preventive and predictive maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment; such as drills and compressorsInspect and test mechanical units, diagnose faults and malfunctions, repair and replace mechanical units, test and adjust equipment to specificationsTravel to various job sites to service vehicles/equipment components; coach employees on efficient operation and maintenance to prevent issues and ensure optimal performanceTest repaired items against manufacturers’ standardsComplete reports to record problems and work performedResearch information and follow-up with manufacturers to keep apprised of current practices and techniques, prevent recurring performance issues, increase reliability and efficiency of vehicles and equipmentProvide input and recommendations to Head Mechanic regarding mechanical information for equipment and vehicle purchasesMaintain safe working conditions and adhere to Occupational Health and Safety regulationsQualifications:Candidates must possess valid driver”s license in good standing; must have own transportation; good communication skills; and an ability to adapt quickly to an ever-changing environment (i.e., policies, procedures, technologies, and best practices).Candidate must be a Licensed Heavy Equipment mechanic, with preferred hydraulics and electronics knowledge.
