The Lead Sanitation Technician will be responsible for ensuring the sanitation and cleanliness of all facility areas. The Lead Sanitation Technician will report to the Sanitation Supervisor and other management as required, assisting in supervision of Sanitation Department staff and monitoring operational efficiency in that area. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure the facility remains sterile, safe and optimized for production according to Standard Operating Procedures and other guidelines (i.e. biosecurity, foot baths, etc.); Support the Sanitation Supervisor in monitoring and supervising sanitation staff members, ensuring efficiency of work; Assist Sanitation Supervisor in any necessary training of team members on appropriate use of sanitation equipment, chemicals and SOPs; Perform regular inspections to ensure production equipment is clean prior to being used; Report issues to the Sanitation Supervisor as required; Follow the Daily Sanitation Checklist and document all tasks, completed and incomplete; Assist in the facilitation of projects and tasks within the production facility under the direction of the Sanitation Supervisor and Maintenance Manager; Conduct work activities in a safe manner in accordance with all safety, GMP, and Cannabis Act guidelines; Sanitize and scrub processing rooms, pre- and post-harvest in accordance with SOPs; Assume ownership of SOPs and programs as directed by the Sanitation Supervisor; and Other tasks as required by management. Requirements WHAT YOU BRING: Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent; WHMIS training/certification; Strong familiarity with Health Canada regulated environments and protocols; Good knowledge of manufacturing and production processes/procedures; Proactive mindset and ability to self-motivate and direct; Exceptional analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail; Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) coupled with strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with a variety of personalities in a dynamic environment.
