Lead Chaplain – Volunteer & Community ResourcesPermanent Full TimeThe Lead Chaplain will play an essential role in providing a world class patient experience by providing inclusive spiritual and religious services to our patients, families and staff. Using resources such as staff chaplains, pastoral students and community faith partners, the Lead Chaplain will ensure that the needs of all patients are met. You will support a model of shared accountability for the patient experience and further solidify Mackenzie Health as a workplace of distinction for volunteers and students. This will include developing a Pastoral Student Program, providing direction and supervision of other staff chaplains and act as the Hospital Liaison with Community Faith Partners.What must you have?Masters Divinity or equivalent.Registered and in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).Certified Supervisor-Educator by the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care.Certified with Canadian Multifaith Federation.Endorsement by a religious faith group to function as a spiritual and religious care provider.What else do you bring?5+ years of chaplaincy experience, preferably in a hospital setting.2+ years of student supervisory experience.Demonstrates leadership amongst peers and clinical colleagues.Demonstrates an understanding of fiscal responsibilities and adherance to budgets.Proven attendance record.Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others and demonstrates behaviours consistent with Mackenzie Health’s Commitment to Caring.Models behaviour that is aligned with the values of Mackenzie Health – Excellence, Leadership and Empathy.Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for staff and clients within a challenging and excitinghealth care environment.*You may be required to work at any site of Mackenzie Health
