Job Summary:

The successful candidate will join an established landscape architectural studio that has a long history of progressive projects, whose creative group of designers have completed the award winning Front Street Revitalization at Union Station, the TTC 407 Station, Downsview Park Station among others.

The ideal candidate must be ready to take on large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects, assist with digital renderings, and contribute creative and innovative ideas in a team environment.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate as a productive member of a landscape architectural group and a multi-disciplinary team
  • Participate in design and production of drawings for transit facilities, transportation corridors, parks, trails, streetscapes, plazas, and green infrastructure for municipal, provincial and federal clients.
  • Prepare concept drawings for presentations, public meetings and client review
  • Prepare contract drawings, cost estimates, tender ready drawings, and other work with CAD software;
  • Ensuring drawings conform with internal and client CAD standards;
  • Conduct occasional site visits to examine existing conditions, in progress construction, as built conditions, etc
  • Oversee entry-level team members, and work under limited supervision of senior team members.
  • Minimum Requirements

    Candidates not meeting the below requirement, at a minimum, will not be considered for the position:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years experience in preparing landscape drawing packages
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Microstation, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup and Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Knowledge of landscape construction
  • Knowledge of Civil 3D, GIS, BIM 360, Lumion and general rendering experience
  • Experience in preparing landscape drawing packages for complex transit/public realm projects an asset
  • Experience preparing landscape contract documents requiring interdisciplinary coordination for site development an asset
  • A valid driver’s license and possession of a vehicle is preferred for site/project meetings and inspection
  • Well organized, self-directed work habits with an ability to prioritize and schedule tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Collaborative and team oriented
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, pertaining to complex design and technical issues
  • Knowledge of French an asset
