General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada has a requirement for a Junior Test Specialist (TS) within the Cyber Security team. The Test Specialist shall provide technical Hardware and Software support to the integration and development teams for the Cyber Security Engineering Support Contract (CSESC). You will employ engineering practices in Systems, Hardware, Software, and Testing disciplines to support integration and test activities.Resolve common IT issues related to hardware, software and drivers.Resolve Hardware and Software support issues in Windows environments.Research, install and test COTS hardware and software.Perform daily operation readiness test on site.Develop processes and procedures for support and maintenance of site equipment.Perform Product Level Test and Integration.Assist with the running of Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) for various mission systems.Set up of lab equipment.Communicate with vendors and suppliers for support.Essential Skills:Bachelor of Engineering or Computer Science, Network Engineering, IT Professional or applicable scientific/engineering/technology discipline is required.Minimum 1 year experience working in IT/lab environmentKnowledge of computer communication buses and protocols desirableSome Experience with software/hardware integrationExperience in the investigation, recommendations and resolutions of defectsRelevant experience with test engineering processes and tools is an assetExperience in development of test automation scripts to improve efficiency of integration testing is an asset.Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment.
