We provide a wide range of consulting and design services related to the infrastructure, real estate, resource, industrial and government sectors in Canada and abroad.We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Junior Environmental Professional in our London office.Completion of environmental field activities on Phase I and II environmental site assessments (ESAs), soil and groundwater sampling, surface water and sediment sampling, soil vapour sampling, and remediation projectsContribution to environmental projects including hydrogeological studies, ESAs, ongoing monitoring programs, and site remediation projectsCoordination with laboratories, clients, subcontractors, third-party stakeholdersDevelopment and implementation of environmental site assessment scopes of work and related health and safety plansCompilation and analysis of data including: data tables, borehole logs, test pit logs, GIS/CAD, spreadsheet calculations, figuresAssistance in report writing and preparation of technical memos, letters, reports and proposalsAssistance with project managers and other team members, including geoscientists, biologists, engineers, planners and environmental scientistsContribution to the management of project tasks, budgets and schedulesCompliance with applicable health and safety procedures and guidelinesAbility to work remotelyBusiness travel upon requestEntry level to five years’ experience in environmental consultingCommitted to a culture of quality including keen attention to detailA degree or technical college certificate/diploma in geology, civil or environmental engineering, hydrogeology, or another relevant environmental science or engineering disciplineLicensed or eligible to apply to practice as Professional Engineer or Professional GeoscientistAvailable to work in remote locationsStrong work ethic with an interest in field workSolid technical writing abilityExperience hazardous materials surveys, sample collection and/or reporting considered an assetExperience in environmental consulting is an assetKnowledge of applicable environmental regulationsValid G Driver’s LicenseStrong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary team and independentlyExceptional problem solving and critical thinking skillsData compilation and report writingExperience with ESAs, including sampling of various media (e., soil, groundwater, sediment, soil vapour)Knowledge in several of: geology, hydrogeology, field procedures, basic chemistry, contracting/construction, chemistry, geotechnical concerns, geology, hydrogeology, remediation engineering, site characterization, waste management, landfill design, health and safety will be considered an assetExperience working around heavy equipment, including drill rigs and excavatorsAbility to proactively identify and address concerns that may arise when completing fieldworkKnowledge of relevant provincial and federal environmental legislation and policies will be considered an assetStrong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office family of productsKnowledge/background or proficiency in several of: AUTOCAD, GIS, Surfer, GINT, ESdat or database abilities will be an assetDillon offers competitive salaries, health benefits and a generous retirement savings plan.
