King Paving & Construction Ltd. is a diverse heavy civil construction company that has established a dependable reputation for more that 90 years. Our company specializes in a large range of construction projects such as sewers and watermains, excavation, roadways, concrete works, asphalt & concrete paving. We are looking for a Jr. Construction Estimator in Burlington.

Jr. Estimator Responsibilities:

Evaluate and review cost estimates

• Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects

• Prepare estimates in detail

Ensure timely completion of estimates Basic understanding of scope of work to bid

Prepare & obtain bid pricing from all vendors

• Prepare cost analysis

Scheduling

• Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors

Jr. Estimator Qualifications and Skills

• 3+ years experience in construction estimating

Civil Engineering Technology or Technician, designation would be preferred

Team Player

• Takes initiative

• Excellent verbal and written communication

Able to read Civil/architectural plans and develop cost estimates Understanding of Civil construction processes Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Project and Bid2win or equiv. takeoff program Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines Problem-solving skills Full "G" Licensed Driver.
