We are looking to add an Automation Engineer for our client’s rapidly growing agricultural technology that has revolutionized the dehydration of fruits, vegetables, hops and other organic materials. The exceptional demand for their technology means that they are adding more staff to their team.By utilizing vacuum microwave dehydration technology, our client produces state-of-the-art industrial dehydrators for food processors that not only increase their profits, but also benefit the environment through its clean technology. Job Responsibilities: Control system design for industrial food equipment, as well as a variety of other turnkey industrial process packages PLC and SCADA/RTU programming, experience with Twincat III is an asset. Maintain accurate design and verification documents. Assist mechanical and shop teams during the build phase. Debug and commission control systems at our facility, during the system integration stage and at customer sites during installation. Travel as required to customer and supplier sites to perform installation, commissioning and training duties. Select, test and integrate hardware and software components such as robots, analog devices, motion controllers, and sensors Field commissioning of complete dehydration systems, including PLC, HMI, Motor control, valves, instruments, and cleaning systems. Support R&D prototype development and test activities Provide office support to end-users of in-service systems. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation & Automation Control Experience in Beckhoff Automation is a strong asset Experience in programming HMI software specifically in Ignite is a strong asset Experience with a variety of PLCs, SCADA, and DCSs (min 2 years) Experience with a variety of VFDs Industrial Automation Knowledge/ability to create wiring schematics with CAD software. Proven ability to communicate with other colleagues regarding the understanding of PLC, HMI, Servo, Industrial communication network and VFD related topics. Able and willing to travel to work on client’s location for commissioning and potential maintenance calls Ability to manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high-quality deliverables Proficient in Microsoft Office software Ability to make quick and accurate decisions that is a win-win for both customer and company Excellent interpersonal and client management skills Capable of working independently and unsupervised for extended periods of time Ability to see big picture while not losing focus on the small details Ability to problem solve and communicate effectively Strong work ethics and leads by example Strong team player, willing to support all areas of the business as required If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply with an updated resume in MS Word Format.
