IT Delivery Manager with experience in the delivery of Data warehouse, Data Lakes and Analytic solutions. With extensive experience in the Data curation and Data Management and Analytics RESOURCE DESCRIPTION New Contract Only Expected Projected Engagement Phase: Beginning Resource Profile We are recruiting for a IT Manager, Data Management & Delivery with proven experience implementing Complex and large scale Data Warehouse, Data Lakes, Centralized Data Stored in a fast pace environment. The candidate must be able to lead, drive key decisions and work as a business partner with our client colleagues in the delivery of the solution for the Centralized Data Store project. The candidate must collaborate and work with internal parties and an external SaaS provider to develop, document and gain approval of the solution architectures and/or design artifacts. Knowledge & Skills University Degree in applied sciences such as Computer Sciences, Systems Design, Engineering, Business or a combination of related education, training and experience deemed equivalent 8-10 years with Software Development Experience 8-10 years managing Staff At least 3 years managing Vendor Relationship in the delivery of complex data engineering Solutions such as a Data Lake, Centralized data store, and/or migrations of 5+ years of Financial Management experience in both capital and operational budget management. 3+ years professional experience in integration and middleware 5+ years data and Information Management experience Excellent knowledge of, RDBMS Oracle and SQL Server relational databases; and experience in the use of XML, Web Services, and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technologies for applications and systems interoperability, including SFTP/MFT, WebSphere and Message Broker are desirable Must have good knowledge of current Data Engineering practices and toolsets. Experience leading technical projects, with design and deployment of significant applications and data architectures Extensive experience in systems analysis and design in large systems environments involving complex integrations and interfaces. Resource Responsibilities Manage the development and deployment of existing or new applications, systems software, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise and ensure that any new software integration into client systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications. Provide technical leadership to project managers\scrum masters and programmers working on development project teams. Plan, manage and control the activities of business as usually work, including application currency, mini product enhancement and fixes Develop and administer assigned operating budget, authorize expenditures within approved budget and report on variances from approved plan as required. Ensure risk management, quality management and continuous improvement systems are established to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and cost benefit of services and programs. Partner with the Vendor / Consultants and Service Providers to ensure successful collaboration to enhance the Operational Service delivered to the client and its business partners. Facilitate meetings with service provider in the event of issues that involve non-client resources. Gather client resources as needed to plan, review and brainstorm throughout the problem investigation and resolution period. Provide leadership to approved projects including developing and setting team strategies, mandates, mission statements and objectives in keeping with organizational values. Manage staff resources including recruiting, orienting, training and development, setting objectives, appraising employee performance, coaching and counselling. Work with the Client Engagement team in developing longer-term strategic plans, and with Peers In other ITC areas to resolve conflicting priorities, to improve the level of service to clients, and to achieve project goals and deliverables. Deliver projects and products using the appropriate agile project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently Lead the collaborative, dynamic planning process prioritizing the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team Actively participating in the Delivery Manager community, sharing and re-applying skills and knowledge and bringing in best practice Using appropriate tools and metrics including sprint plans, bum down charts, cycle times, and release plans to report on progress and delivery timelines Managing internal and external dependencies, risks, issues and blockers across teams. Interacting and effectively communicate with other teams in the organization (e.g. Client Engagement lead, IT Shared Services, internal customers, EPMO, etc.), with suppliers and partners, to enable the delivery on new features and functionalities that add business value. Continuouslyassess the teams approach and adapt planning tools, agile methods and communication to improve ways of working and apply leanings within the teams. Implement application development and product delivery principles, policies, standards and guidelines while adhering to industry standards and best practices by: Managing the design, development, preparation and maintenance of systems Managing the database system performance and tuning analysis to ensure optimal performance levels, identifies and resolves bottlenecks and problem involving application usages Overseeing hardware/software resources for business applications Manage the implementation of business applications and products classification while taking into consideration Provincial and Federal legislation, Privacy Acts, client Corporate Governance policies and provide solution architecture expertise for all enterprise projects. Provide subject matter expert advice and information for RFPs and participate in RFP evaluation. Requirements Skill Set Description University Degree in applied sciences such as Computer Sciences, Systems Design, Engineering, Business or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent A minimum 6 years of solution design experience, ideally with experience in Healthcare applications, with solid background in technology/infrastructure architecture planning. Design, development and implementation Knowledge and expertise in the Data Analytics, Date Engineering, Systems Analysis, Project Management methodologies and Solutions Development life cycles, with the ability to promote a coherent, corporate approach to enterprise architecture Strong oral and written communication techniques to prepare reports, reviews, briefing materials and correspondence, presentation skills to present information and findings, options and recommendations to senior officials and managers; ability to present ideas and suggestions dearly and effectively and in a user-friendly manner, maintain a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients. Self-motivated; able to work independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and to collaborate with others to use their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions; high initiative and ability to prioritize in a high-pressure environment and ability to work on simultaneous projects Excellent knowledge of RDBMS Oracle and SQL Server relational databases and experience in the use of XML, Web Services, and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technologies for applications and systems interoperability, including SFTP/MFT, WebSphere and Message Broker are desirable
