Job Description

Intermediate Designer.

You will be working with our team designing residential properties including private homes and multi-family developments primarily in Chief Architect and AutoCAD. You will be involved in all aspects of the design process, from design concept to space planning as well as product sourcing. You will work directly with the Principal & the team, interact with clients, and liaise with builders and suppliers as required.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Prepare design proposals, renderings, material and image boards, sketches, space planning, and initial presentations

· Order samples and create sample boards (physical and digital)

· Analysis of applicable building codes, by-laws, and other technical documents

· Independent Client Correspondence and demonstrated ability to communicate with clients regarding daily job activities

· Support senior staff with client site visit and meetings 

· Demonstrated attention to detail in both drawings and design activities

· Maintain proper and accurate records of client files while tracking your own time

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

· 3+ years’ experience as an Interior Designer in a design firm

· Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design

· NCIDQ or ARIDO member (registered or candidate)

· Strength in AutoCAD, Chief Architect, Adobe Creative Suites and Microsoft Office

· Knowledge of codes and regulations with design aspects in Canada & OBC

· Ability to work independently on projects without direct supervision

· Passion for design with a creative and innovative perspective

· Excellent presentation and communication skills

· Have a positive disposition and works well within the team

· Organized and efficient time management skills
