Our Opportunity

As the successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to plan, coordinate and execute the design of a wide variety of civil/structural projects.You are capable of scoping, budgeting, designing and managing civil/structural projects such as bridges, roads, shalow foundations and structures. Duties include performing assessments/inspections; estimating project costs; preparing designs, drawings and specifications; preparing reports, proposals and contract documentation. Using your considerable organizational, communication and people skills, you will collaborate with multi-discipline teams to ensure projects are completed within allotted schedules and budgets, and to high quality standards.

Terrace is the service hub of northwestern BC, which has a regional population of about 50,000. It hosts a regional airport and comprehensive community services, shops, recreation facilities, etc.

Located in the heart of BC’s spectacular Coast Mountains, Terrace is an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise. The city is world famous for is Skeena River salmon fishing. The local ski hill is Shames Mountain, a non-profit co-operatively owned resort with excellent backcountry access which is known for its deep powder and jaw-dropping views. Other popular outdoor activities include hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing, hunting and fishing. The ocean is about 1-1.5 hours away in Kitimat and Prince Rupert, with opportunities for boating, ocean fishing, kayaking and scuba diving.
