As an integral member of the Finance Team, the Intermediate Accountant will assist with the full financial accounting cycle and ensuring application of sound accounting principles/practices to provide accurate and timely financial information for decision-making in support of mill operations. The Intermediate Accountant will oversee ensure internal controls are in place and working as intended, reconcile all corporate banking transactions, complete daily, weekly and monthly cash flow analysis and forecasting, assist in various external audits.
The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate university degree coupled with a professional Accounting Designation and a track record of experience and success in a senior accounting or finance position. He/she will bring exceptional business and financial acumen, and a keen desire to contribute to the business through the critical reporting that they provide. The ideal candidate will bring technical rigour applied in the wider context of business decision making. The ability to adapt to and understand a complex and constantly changing business environment, and be able to keep pace with a company going through significant growth and change is critical.
