Founded almost 70 years ago, the FNDL has transformed itself to become the largest long-term care home in the Chaleur region and thus become a major regional employer in the health sector. Today, the FNDL offers more than 130 beds to regional residents and hires more than 190 employees, providing a captivating and attractive work environment made up of committed, competent staff who respect the FNDLs values towards its residents. YOUR CHALLENGE Reporting to the Administrator,the incumbent is responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling all the accounting and financial activities of the organization, in accordance with the accounting principles, regulations, policies and laws. As an expert, you will play an advisory roleto the general manager and the board of directors on budgetary issues and contribute to their decision-making. In collaboration with the general management, you elaborate and coordinate the annual budget of nearly $11million for a recently built nursing home with a capacity of 130 beds and hiring more than 190 employees. As a first step, your mandate will be to mobilize your team while ensuring the transition of the activities of the finance department to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the operations, analyzes and accuracy of the financial results. Requirements YOUR KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Possess a bachelors degree in business administration, commerce, accounting or finance. Candidate or Member in good standing of the Chartered Professional Accountants Canada Organization (CPA). Have a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a related field, including at least one (1) year in an employee management position. Master the various offices (Microsoft Office Suite) and financial software. Any other relevant experience and training could be considered.
