Located at our Heartland Petrochemical Complex (HPC), the individual in the Supervisor IT role will report to the Director, IT within the Information Technology department. As a member of the Information Technology (IT) department, the Supervisor IT Field Technician will be responsible for collaborating with business stakeholders and end users to resolve issues, maintain systems and optimize the use of operational technologies at the HPC facility. :Degree or diploma in Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or Engineering or a related fieldClass 5 Driver’s license Experience:1-3 years of experience and success in a leadership role5 – 10 years experience supporting technology in modern operating facilitiesExperience supporting Operational technology such as data historians (Pi), Lab systems, Enterprise Asset Management Systems, building management, PA systems and tool cribs Skills:The ability and interest in using technology to solve business problems and innovate business improvementsExcellent problem solving, analysis and technical writing skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present complex ideas clearly and effectivelySuperior customer service, interpersonal and collaboration skills Key Activities and :Facilitate sessions, present, and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to identify and prioritize opportunities, gather business requirements, and support the design and implementation of solutions to improve processes within HPC Operational Systems areaEnsures business area satisfaction with regular interaction and by managing expectations, understanding service level expectations, and delivering IT solutions in a timely and cost-effective fashionCollaborate with subject matter experts within the business areas, third-party vendors, and other IT resources to resolve issues and further functional capabilities for business applications like Pi, Lab Systems, Toolhound, and other Purdue model Level 3 operational technologiesEnsure the timely correction of any bugs, vendor supplied patches and new releases related to Corporate applicationsPlay a key role in the integration of control systems and IT servicesOperational support of new IT core infrastructure built within HPC facility – networks, servers, radios, systems, backups, etc.Provides leadership for the Corporate applications team, identifying work priorities and ensuring effective communication within the team and with external partners/stakeholdersCreates a healthy interpersonal and team- oriented environmentSupervises vendor performance and contractor resources and ensures they are performing competently, and that Inter Pipeline is receiving services aligned with contractual terms and conditionsEngage in and support new project activities related to the above solutionsLead small/medium technology implementations Schedule:Full time, Monday FridayRotational 24×7 on-call support services to HPC Operations As this position is identified as safety and security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of pre-employment medical, drug/alcohol, drivers abstract and criminal background check assessments with satisfactory results.
