My Vancouver based client is growing! We are looking to add an In-house Counsel who has some solid experience in the world of doing deals. This role will appeal to a high performer who has tired of a law firm and wants to get into being part of the actual deal making. This is not a nine to five job and it will stretch you. Great experience in managing deal flow, drafting non-disclosure agreements, letters of intent, and sales purchase agreements will be a big part. As part of the deal team, you will assist in the due diligence of potential acquisitions and work closely with Investor Relations taking companies public. This is a very busy environment with a very high-end upside. The client offers a solid base salary and will look at an equity piece in the deals in which the In-House Counsel participates. My client is committed to: Fostering a collaborative, dynamic, and fast-paced work environment Providing ongoing opportunities for career growth and advancement in capital markets What the In-House Counsel does: Drafts, reviews, and advises upon non-disclosure agreements, letters of intent, and sales purchase agreements Collaborates with various teams and internal stakeholders to ensure agreements adhere to corporate policies and procedures Assists in the due diligence of potential acquisitions and works closely with Investor Relations taking companies public Advises upon and provides solutions to various legal and contractual matters impacting the company Develops and implements innovative policies and procedures and best legal practices What is expected of you: License to practice law in Canada Relevant legal experience, including in-house experience Experience in managing deal flow, drafting non-disclosure agreements, letters of intent, and sales purchase agreements Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to understand legal and business terms Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain business relationships at all levels of the organization Extremely detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to self-motivate and work independently Excellent time management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment What you can expect in return: Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package Opportunity to work for a reputable organization where your hard work will be valued
