Job Description

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is searching for an intermediate Infrastructure Operations Analyst to support infrastructure monitoring and remediation activities in support of a large transformation project.

 Responsibilities:  

  • Service ticket queues, review technology infrastructure dashboards for infrastructure status, service and validate network alerts, troubleshoot network issues, troubleshoot server issues,  implement configuration changes when directed, and participate in operational activities related to infrastructure operations. 
  • Participate in infrastructure surveillance tools migration activities under the direction of a Project Manager.
  • Review technology infrastructure surveillance tools presented by monitoring toolsets for infrastructure status/faults.
  • Provide infrastructure review / troubleshooting services both during and outside of normal business hours, as required.
  • Liaise with TS Operations teams to maintain currency on technical standards, tool sets, and operational practices.
  • Develop an understanding of the current standards related to technology infrastructure operations.
  • Participate in data standardization, categorization, and clean-up activities. 
  • Escalate issues to an appropriate resource or supervisor as appropriate.

Requirements: 

  • 3+ years of data network and/or server infrastructure and operating system support
  • Knowledge / experience with current network standards and industry best practices required to implement a reliable data network 
  • Experience with enterprise-grade Cisco and HP network hardware
  • Experience with Windows Server Operating systems including configuration, maintenance/patching, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Solarwinds Orion in an enterprise networking environment.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and results-oriented
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Team player with well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office
  • Willing to work alternating 12 hour shifts on a rotating basis
  • Cisco CCNA and/or Microsoft MCSE or equivalent designation is preferred
