The Nuna Group of Companiesis now accepting resumes fora Human Resources Coordinator withlarge earthworksconstructionprojects experience.Location: Edmonton AB. – Corporate officeRotation/Shift: Monday – Friday with overtime when requiredRate: Competitive salary, full benefits including company matching RRSP, employee incentive program, 3 weeks vacationAssisting hiring managers with various recruitment and selection activities for assigned projects within critical timelines and during high-volume recruitment needs;Providing guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations issues;Prepare, forward and ensure completeness of all employee documents;Assist in projects such as employee engagement and retention initiatives;Conduct research for various HR initiatives;Provides internal customers with appropriate resources and prompt follow-up to questions;Creates a positive work environment for all associates;Working with Nuna’s HRIS, Applicant Tracking System, and various Human Resources computer programs (including SharePoint and JD Edwards).Periodic travel to project sites may be required;Other projects/duties as assigned.Post-secondary education with a focus on Human Resources;Minimum of 3 years in a HR Coordinator or generalist function;Proven experience working in a high volume and fast-paced environment which includes large volume recruitment and selection;Exceptional computer skills that includes working with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Applicant tracking systems, and JD Edwards;Working knowledge of employment standards legislation and HR policies and practices;Strong business acumen with the ability to assess situations not only from an HR perspective but also from a business perspective;Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, written communication and presentation skills;Excellent organizational and planning skills to set and exceed established goals, schedules and deadlines required;Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse team environment to achieve goals and identify and resolve problems;Strong initiative to take direction, apply learning’s, and execute on requests;Ability to maintain confidential information as it pertains to HR issues;Possess advanced level computer skills in word processing, email, spreadsheets, and presentations;Previous Human Resource experience in the mining or construction industry will be considered an asset;Experience working on projects located in the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Saskatchewan and Ontario are considered an asset;Experience working within a Union and Non-Union environment;Candidates with CHRP / RPR designation or in the process of obtaining their designations are preferred;All successful candidates must: Be proficient in English, both verbally and writtenHave a valid Class 5 Driver’s LicenseHave experience as requested in the job description aboveNuna is committed to the principle of employment equity.
