Job Description

Eramosa Engineering is a progressive and growing company specializing in the Municipal Water / Wastewater sector and Renewable Energy sector. With over 20 years’ experience spanning across all of our locations, we provide Electrical Engineering, System Integration, IT/OT, IoT services, and consulting to our client base across North America. We are currently looking for a new Group Leader to take our Technology Services Team to the next level through growth, development, and support of our clients. With a strong focus around IT services from design through implementation of networks, cybersecurity, and consulting, if you have a demonstrated background in this area we have a leadership opportunity for you.

Job Description Requirements

  • Overseeing multiple teams to provide both support and accountability delivering IT based design projects and hands on implementations on time and on budget.
  • Overseeing the internal IT team that keeps our own systems reliable and operational.
  • Directly co-ordinate with other Group Leaders and Team Leaders to help resource.
  • Knowledge of all things IT from LANs, WANs, virtualization, cloud systems, routing protocols, network designs including copper/fibre/wireless/cellular, DMZs, firewalls, IoT, and cybersecurity is critical for the role.
  • Business development to grow our services directly with existing clients as well as new clients taking the form of proactive business development as well as reactive business development through responding to requests for proposals.
  • Developing new service offerings for our clients within your area of expertise.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to the team and our clients. You need to walk your talk!
  • Project Management for select key and critical projects.
  • Mentoring, guiding, and identify training plans and growth strategies for the Technology Services group.
  • You know how to connect with people and can build and foster relationships both within our organization as well as externally that align with our corporate values of FITT – Fun, Initiative, Trust, and Technical Excellence.
  • Exceptional communication skills and negotiation skills to help our clients and build consensus across our entire organization to achieve our goals

Ecology of Eramosa

  • Based out of either our head office in Guelph or remote office in Toronto, we also offer flexible work from home arrangements.
  • Office setting as well as site visits to client facilities as required which can at times require hard hats, safety boots, and other personal protective equipment.
  • Some travel is required.
  • Valid Drivers license and access to reliable transportation.

Education and Experience

  • A 3 year college diploma or University level degree in a related field of study
  • Active certifications with Cisco or other recognized industry standards considered an asset
  • Knowledge and understanding of industrial networks, protocols, and practices considered an asset
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience with direct management and supervision of others considered an asset
