We are looking to add an individual to our team for the position of Service Technician, based in Montreal area and servicing the Quebec region. The candidate that will succeed in this job will be one that has a desire to see this position as a career not just a job and strives to learn and become an expert on all our products and services. This role includes service tasks relating to the repair, maintenance, calibration and software support for retail scale, wrapping & labelling equipment. Experience is not a must but prior experience in a related field would be an asset. We are committed to providing the best training and support for this position to make you successful. Bilingual speaking and writing in French & English is a prerequisite.
The position is as follows but is not limited to:
Duties & Responsibilities
To be able to perform Service calls in the field with confidence and a professional manner with a customer first attitude.
Install and train customers on scales, over-wrappers & labellers, including software.
Repair and troubleshoot various scale, labelling & wrapping service requirements.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
Maintain proper parts inventory.
Phone support troubleshooting.
Scheduled on call shifts for weekends and holidays.
Understanding scale programing and product software will be part of your duties.
Dealer support – Assisting, supporting and training of our service partners as necessary.
Skills and Qualifications
A dedicated career person who is consistent and hardworking.
Must possess strong troubleshooting abilities on mechanical equipment.
Computer and a technical background is required including basic Microsoft knowledge.
Must have a Valid and clean driver’s license. Drivers abstract will be required.
Be willing to perform afterhours support when needed.
An electrical and/or mechanical background on equipment or computers is required.
Being a team player as we are a small group of people so being able to work cohesively with your coworkers is a must.
Strong organizational skills – planning, scheduling and multitasking.
