Department The Finance team is responsible for management reporting, analysis, business planning and special projects for various business units within Fidelity Canada. The team’s main focus is to support these business groups in achieving their objectives by identifying issues, recommending solutions, providing financial transparency and value-added financial assessments. This is achieved by establishing strong ties with these client groups while meeting the needs and interests of all stakeholders. Your The successful individual is an articulate and analytical financial professional who will utilize their technical and relationship building skills to provide support to the Client Services and Fund Oversight groups within Fidelity Canada, while managing the needs and interests of many stakeholders including senior management. As an integral member of the Finance team, you will be responsible for financial management reporting, financial analysis, performance measurement and business planning. What You Will Do Financial Analysis and Business Unit Support:Develop, manage and regularly present a framework to address the needs of the business and anticipate future business unit requirements, including management reports.Proactive support of the P& L and headcount reportingProvide financial analysis for emerging business opportunities, trends and financial results. Business Planning, Budgeting/Forecasting and Financial Reporting:Facilitate the annual business planning/budgeting and quarterly forecasting process while providing overall financial stewardship, expense management and support for other ad hoc projects.Develop appropriate key performance indicators / success measures and develop post implementation assessments against the relevant measures.Proactive support of quarterly business reviews.Focus on Process:Manages a process to high quality and efficiency standards and determines the necessary inputs and outputs to meet customer needs.Takes ownership for ensuring all work and/or processes are documented. What We Are Looking ForCPA (CA, CGA, CMA) designation preferred (or working towards or completed other professional designations such as CFA, or MBA)University degree with a focus in business (accounting, economics, commerce, finance or mathematics / statistics preferred)More than 3 years of experience working in a finance department with a minimum of 2 years- experience in financial analysis and modeling, reporting, budgeting and/or business planning (financial services industry experience preferred) What You Will BringExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate financial concepts into business terminology and effectively present to senior management.Ability to manage relationships across the full spectrum of management levels.Ability to influence/convince others, adapt recommendations/presentations to suit a audience and respond to questions/objections successfully.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications, especially in Excel and PowerPointAbility to develop financial models, conduct sensitivity analysis, and communicate results in written and verbal formats.
