Your Role:

The Executive Lead acts as Watershed’s most senior leader in one of our major domain locations.   Your primary focus is to steer the business in that market to grow and thrive.   You will serve as a bridge between Watershed’s Strategic Business Plan and the on the ground products and services that are offered to our clients and partners.  You are accountable to build a strong network within the domain and socialize these people and organizations to the Watershed Approach as a means for solving systemic challenges.  You are acknowledged as the person to go for help in solving system wide issues and challenges that are impacting the community and organizational change and will lead the development of strategies and programs that will effectively address these needs. 

Your Resume:

  • You have a minimum of 10 years of executive experience that has resulted in the development of a strong network, leadership credibility and influence across a domain, region or sector. 
  • You have strategic business planning skills that have demonstrated your ability to take a product, service or program from concept to delivery with strong results; and
  • You have led high profile projects and initiatives that have resulted in systemic change.
  • Your considerable experience working in and/or in partnership with governments and the non-profit sector is a definite asset.
  • The ability to speak multiple languages may be required or highly desired in some locations.

Strong Executive Presence: You have that unique blend of temperament and competencies that sends signals that you have the confidence and integrity to function at the executive level.   You exhibit the gravitas to speak the truth and exhibit your expertise in a straightforward and consistent manner, you are able to capture a room by speaking clearly, using language and manners appropriate to the audience and you exhibit the poise and composure to create credibility.

Great Team Skills:  You are both a team leader and a team player.  You work with others to create an effective working environment and contribute positively to the culture of the organization.  You contribute to knowledge sharing and capture within the team.   You know how and when to step in and lead the team and you are equally comfortable defining your role as a member in support of others, actively connecting with others to understand their needs and sharing your knowledge and expertise in ways that ensures everyone you can succeed.
