In this key role responsible to the Manager, Population Health Observatory, you will provide expert consultation, advice, direction, and support for the healthy communities and chronic disease portfolio within Population & Public Health regarding health assessment, disease surveillance and planning. The Observatory carries out its work in close collaboration with front-line staff, senior management, medical health officers, and external partners. The collaborative and integrated nature of our work offers epidemiologists an enriching professional environmental with diverse projects.

As the successful candidate you have a Master’s degree in Epidemiology or Public Health and at least two years of experience in the field of public health, including experience in the area of chronic disease, communicable disease, and/or injury surveillance.

Demonstrated proficiency with using advanced statistics, statistical software packages, manipulation of large datasets, and the ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical individuals through reports and presentations will support your success in this role.
