Bring your passion, energy and expertise to a role where you can really make a difference providing leadership in the development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of a Regional Infection, Prevention, Control and Surveillance Program for Fraser Health.

Reporting to the Senior Epidemiologist, Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) and under the leadership of the Director, Strategy and Performance and Executive Medical Director (IPC) you will:

•Provide expertise in the development of standardized surveillance methods and processes to support the clinical direction and regional focus of the Program. •Establish regional, evidence-based, targeted, healthcare and community associated infection surveillance priorities. •Collaborate with the Infection Control leadership and team in the investigation of facility associated outbreaks/clusters and monitoring disease trends for the purpose of implementing effective prevention strategies in Fraser Health. •Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across all Fraser Health services, and with external regulatory, academic, research bodies and Infection Control practice networks to advance the effectiveness of the Program in promoting a culture of patient safety.

As the successful candidate you have:

•Master’s Degree or PhD in Epidemiology or related discipline. •Minimum of two (2) years’ recent related experience in infection prevention and control surveillance, including experience with methodological skills in data analysis, study design and creation of protocols and surveillance reports. •Completion of research and/or publications in professional field.

This is a regular full-time position located at Central City.
