Matrix Labour leasing is hiringEnvironmental Manager for Vancouver – Richmond, BC, CA location This is a Full time Permanent Position!! Summary:- The Environment Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day implementation and auditing of the Projects Construction Environmental Management Plan and component plans. Develops, plans and programs all engineering activities, involved in identifying, solving or alleviating environmental problems. Directs and coordinates various engineering disciplines to preserve the quality of life by correcting and improving various areas of environmental concern such as air, soil and water pollution. Insures that the Project is in compliance with all Federal, Provincial, and local ordinances concerning environmental standards. Responsibilities:- Ensuring environmental issues and requirements are met in accordance with the project design and construction requirements . Establishing and maintaining public and other stakeholder consultation processes as required. Managing all environmental issues associated with the project on a day-to-day basis Coordinates environmental sub-contractors to provide specialty input and direction on behalfof the project. Directs the projects environmental program. Informs project management of environmental issues and (solutions) involving the development of the project. Coordinates the instruction of operating personnel concerning the organizations environment objectives. Works closely with other departments to ensure all environmental issues are addressed and project schedules are met. Creates and maintains appropriate reference files for all environmental issues and actions taken on the project. Preparing and submitting all reports required under the Construction Environmental Management Plan Analyzes and identifies leading and lagging trends to assist in environmental protection and compliance. Provide recommendations for implementation of corrective actions and suggest program improvements Ensures compliance with all environmental compliance activities Identifies and manages environmental risk Acts as the projects representative at environmental and regulatory hearings. Conducts internal environmental audits Verify and monitors environmental training requirements. Participates in and/or provides direction to others conducting environmental considerations, review site needs, including identify and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance and knowledge. Monitors, coordinates, implements and audits environmental programs. Knowledges, Skills and Abilities: A Bachelors Degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field is desired. 5 years construction industry experience in a management/supervisory position. Comprehensive working knowledge of Environmental Acts Regulations and Permits applicable to construction in BC Professional Biologist or a Professional Engineer or Geoscientist. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking Strong mentoring skills Demonstrated leadership, project management, and conflict resolution skills Ability to handle competing priorities
