A small, but expanding, Canadian company, based in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia, requires an International Commissioning Technician to support the sales of its sophisticated, high voltage, Non-Thermal-Plasma based, VOC oxidation systems. The candidate filling this position needs to be a dynamic, hard working, problem solver, with a strong mechanical aptitude, who is capable of working independently. This position involves being based in BC, approximately 60% of the time. During this time, the successful candidate will assist with the manufacturing of equipment control panels. The remainder of the work will be spent working internationally, in various locations around the globe, but predominately within the European Union. The following qualifications are required:
-Experience in multi-disciplines of mechanical equipment installation, electrical instrumentation and PLC program commissioning.
-Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working as part of a small, highly skilled, technical support group.
-Must be a great communicator, who is fluent in spoken and written, English and Italian languages.
-Must possess excellent computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and AutoCAD / Inventor from Autodesk.
-Experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley, VFDs and PLCs.
-Experience in manufacturing industrial electrical control panels.
-Experience with pneumatic actuators and controls
-Experience and capability of reading electrical and mechanical drawings.
-Experience with industrial equipment installation, including crane lifting of machinery.
-Must have an excellent work safety record.
-Must possess a valid industrial electrician certification.
-Must possess a valid international driver’s license.
-Must possess a valid European Union passport
Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and training.
