The primary focus will be electrical systems design and requirements for both space and terrestrial applications.This includes electrical architecture design involving derivation and analysis of functional performance, environmental and test requirements.The successful applicant should display the following skills:Skilled in development and verification of system level electrical specifications and requirementsExperienced with the design, development and verification of electrical systems from planning to executionSupporting business development pertaining to electrical system engineering designs and costing activitiesBroad exposure to electrical engineering including embedded mixed signal systems, power systems, motor control and electro-optical designsCapable of determining design alternatives and performing trade studies to choose a solutionUnderstanding of environmental requirements including electromagnetic compatibility, radiation environments, thermal, and structuralAbility to coordinate and negotiate with other engineering disciplines including software, mechanical and control systemsFamiliarity with electrical workmanship and quality standards would be an assetStrong analytical, problem solving, communication and organization skillsComfortable with technical presentations to customers like CSA and NASA for design reviewsStrong interpersonal skills, self-starter and dedication to meet project deadlinesHighly motivated, enthusiastic, and a positive thinkerOther duties as requiredQualifications:Successful completion of a Bachelors of Engineering degree is a requirement7+ years of electrical engineering experience is preferredExperience using Electrical CAD tools such as ORCAD, Altium, Autocad Electrical, Matlab, and PSPICE Simulators is an asset.
