The Donor Relations team provides execellence in customer service in all interactions with donors, volunteers and in-house stakeholders. Key responsibilities of the team also include gift administration, tax receipting and data integrity.Reporting to the Manager, Donor Relations, the Donor Relations Associate will have a primary focus on donor service through the management of donor and gift data. Responsibilities include managing data imports for third party and online channels including but not limted to events (Luminate and Artez), one-time gifts, monthly donations and Sunnybrook payroll. The role will also include data importation and processes related to Sunnybrook’s staff 50/50 lottery, as well as participation in the improvement of business processes. During peak periods the Donor Relations Associate will provide back-up support for all other gift processing and customer service functions, including reception staffing and responding to donor inquiries via phone and/or email. Additional projects may be assigned from time to time, as business needs arise.Members of the Donor Relations team are specialized in one or more areas of donation processing and work may be reassigned or rotated within these areas at the discretion of the departmental Manager or Director. This Donor Relations Associate role has a stronger data management focus with less direct donor interaction.Key AccountabilitiesManage processes for importing data into RE from external sourcesImport donor and gift transaction information from online platforms or third party data filesCreate and maintain import templates, data mapping procedures and data flows for all external sourcesAnalyze gifts and import files to determine appropriate actions and improve processesProfessional interaction with third party channel vendors, as requiredManage data import projects and develop procedures within established timelines, as directedManage and update database records to ensure data integrityRespond promptly to relevant enquiries and follow up on outstanding items effectivelyProvide team back-up support for all other gift processing and donor service functions, including reception staffing and responding to donor inquiries via phone and/or emailSkills and AbilitiesDemonstrated ability to work as a proactive and committed team memberComfortable working with data in MS Excel, Access and other similar softwareExcellent technical ability to manipulate data and improve processesExcellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and pay attention to detailProfessional presence with excellent communication skillsAble to work well under pressure and adapt to fluctuating workloadSuccessfully able to work in a collaborative environment with a strong data focusJob RequirementsA minimum 2-3 years progressive experience in a non-profit environmentExtensive knowledge of relational databases (such as Raiser’s Edge)Extensive Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge and MS Excel and AccessSome basic programming training and experienceUniversity degree or equivalent experienceSunnybrook Foundation is committed to providing accessible employment practices that are in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
