Job Description
Our Client is looking for a STAR to lead and manage the healthcare team
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the day to day responsibility of the nursing department
- Responsible for recruitment, performance management, orientation and training
- Conduct resident admission assessments and monitor ongoing resident needs
- Collaborate with residents, families, physicians and other team members to ensure high quality nursing care
- Maintain resident and family satisfaction by addressing any concerns
- Participate as part of the management team
Requirements:
- Registered Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse with current registration with the CNO
- Experience working in the Retirement industry, LTC or home health care
- 2 years Supervisory experience
- Knowledge of current IPAC policies and procedures
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of the Retirement Homes Act and other relevant legislation
- Hospitality experience an asset
- Computer proficiency
