A progressive, ambitious, and successful real estate and commercial developer is currently seeking a Director of Construction to operate a large development for a premium luxury resort in Ontario.

Your new role
The Director of Construction is fully responsible for the delivery of the projects under his or her control ensuring the project is on time, on budget and to the standards required by the client(s). You will lead the development of both low-rise and mid-rise projects throughout the property of a premium luxury resort located in the province of Ontario in coordination with senior management and consultants. As a part of the leadership team you will lead the internal team along with third party project managers and consultants throughout the development of the project and will assist in preparation for annual capital projects and strategic plans. You will constantly monitor design, schedule, legal, contractual and financial aspects of the project. You will also have lots of supervisory responsibility including hiring, training, motivating, rewarding & disciplining staff and planning & delegating work.

What you’ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate is an experienced Director of Construction working in the real estate development industry. You will have a personally managed multiple construction projects with direct experience in low-rise and multi-residential development. We are looking for a dynamic, detail oriented individual who enjoys a challenging and fast-pace working environment. Ideally you have managed, coached, and mentored a team of direct reports.
