Our client is a fast-growing multi-trade contractor located in Oakville. The company has consistently doubled in revenues for the last five years and is looking to continue that growth by hiring their next Business Development Leader . As a key senior leader in the company, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of business strategies to increase market share and visibility across their portfolio of commercial projects. What you can expect to be doing: Be the face of the companys projects and brand, serving as chair on client meetings and educating clients on project details throughout the sales process Create and implement an efficient sales pipeline that will secure $10M in net new business a year Oversee the sales pipeline, which will include identifying new business leads, tracking the pre-qualification stages, managing client relationships, reviewing and submitting RFP packages, and spearheading the companys strategic sales strategy In collaboration with the owners, you will develop and monitor the companys 5-year growth plan, including KPIs, project budgets, and deal flow Continuously improve the companys service offering by staying up to date on industry and product trends Develop marketing collateral, project profiles, and presentations for client pre-qualification Utilize marketing technology software to upload contacts into the CRM, send email campaigns, customize and print marketing collateral, and track sales calls, leads, referrals, and notes Working with the internal teams, you will write persuasive sales proposals and technical quotes that clearly communicates value to the client Be the lead on the seamless transition from project pursuit to project implementation with internal teams Travel across the GTA to attend client and consultant meetings Requirements What you ideally bring to the role: You have 7+ years of experience in commercial construction sales, securing at least $5M+ per year You have a strong business acumen that allows you to create value for all stakeholders including employees, investors & the community You are a critical thinker that can transform corporate vision into actionable plans A background in a technical trade or construction management will be considered an asset Your clients rave about you to their colleagues and other industry partners because of your superior attention to detail and consistent communication throughout their projects Your team would describe you as a servant leader that loves being involved in the entire process to support them in their growth and development You are a trendsetter that not only hits sales targets but knows how to consistently bring in repeat business You can clearly articulate your ideas and solutions to all levels of the organization You are a keen problem solver and can think quickly on your feet, with previous experience proving you are adept at overcoming various client challenges You have an excellent network of reliable and profitable contacts within the commercial construction industry that you can activate quickly in your new role You are constantly learning about new sales techniques and systems to improve your process and do not shy away from learning new software or strategies on the go The words resourceful, determined, and team player have been used to describe you Benefits Company Perks The company believes in the value of personal development and will reimburse you for job-related courses or programs A generous complimentary wellness program Their office includes a weight room for those lunchtime workouts to blow off some steam Car allowance and company expenses will be reimbursed according to business needs We thank all that apply, but only those that are most suitable for the position will be contacted.
