Join our teams now and benefit from an exceptional framework, favorable to the expression of your talents.Primary Responsibilties Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Director – Financial Bids & Development will participate in the proposal development process with focused support on the preparation of the pricing component using economic analysis. This position will be responsible for managing price proposal deadlines and the production of detailed pricing models. Bid pricing responsibilities will be the main focus of this position.Between active proposal developments, this position may assist in various development projects such as M&A transactions and financing.Strategizes and prepares the development of individual contract pricing.Responsible for maintaining, updating and developing the Bid Model used to create contract pricing. Adapts Bid Model as necessary to fulfill Client/Corporate bid requirements.High-level interaction and coordination with Senior management and various internal departments in obtaining the information necessary to develop a complete bid response.Assist in project-specific research to accurately identify labor, equipment, service and materials costs.Read and interpret labor contracts to determine pricing implications. May be involved in creating labor proposals during union negotiations during the contract start-up period.Identify comparable current operating contracts and use Company owned budget and actual financial data to produce a relevant bid model.Extensive review and analysis of the RFP’s business and contact terms and price requests.Analyze complex financial ratios embedded in the bid model for reasonableness.Prepare financial analysis for specific pricing requests. Provide multiple scenario and sensitivity analysis as required.Assist as needed in client proposal team interviews, best and final pricing adaptations and contract negotiations.Continue to monitor bid submittals and work closely with Provincial Operations and Finance teams throughout the start-up process.Coach local staff on the Bid assumptions they will be managing.Provide “post mortem” bid analysis.Other duties as required.Educational Requirements & Soft SkillsBachelor’s degree, preferably in management, accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.CPA/MBA preferred.5+ Years Transportation or related experienceKnowledge of Student, Transit, Rail, and On Demand business models a plus.High level understanding of financial ratios and how they are affected by inputs throughout the pricing model.Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with all departments within company.
