This position is basedremotely out of Vancouver, BC.We are open to candidates located across the country.We are looking for an experienced Director Digital Transformation, Ecommerce to lead technology transformation within SPUD.  You will be in charge of building out the team and leading the updates of technology systems and practice that support our overall eCommerce business strategy and outcomes. You have a solid technical background with proven experience guiding teams through change.You will have a strong understanding of P&L statements and how to drive short- and long-term impact towards top-line revenue growth and bottom-line profitability.You will work closely with the eCommerce team, including Digital Marketing, Merchandising, and other departments to grow market share rapidly. This will include, but is not limited to, launching new features and offerings to position SPUD.ca as a leader within the eGrocery market both locally, nationally and globally.Create and lead a culture of constant feature deployment, testing, and iteration in order to expand market share and test new features and services within the existing SPUD.ca eCommerce brand.Oversees technical planning, execution, and operations across eCommerce including marketing and procurement.Evaluates technical operations with regard to established business and technical goals.Develops and implements technology road map including transitional planning/phasing.Leads SPUD Technology team including hiring and development; ensures resourcing and skill sets meet business and technology group needs.Identifies and eliminates security risks.Analyzes business initiatives to identify technology solutions and approach.Assesses needs for new solutions and software.Builds and maintains relationships with outside vendors.Ensures business is supported against service levels.Additional duties as required.Sound understanding of systems architecture, networks, security, database and storage systems.Strong interpersonal, communication, change management, and leadership skills.Ability to work with executive in both an advisory and tactical function.Ability to manage and prioritize tasks, projects, and budgets.Solid working knowledge of eCommerce business areas and related systems.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Team oriented.Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information systems, computer science or related field (graduate degree a plus).Minimum eight years’ experience working in Technology at a senior level.Minimum three years’ experience overseeing Technology within eCommerce.Proven history of growing high impact, strong culture teams.An annual salary, paid bi-weekly20% discount on SPUD.ca purchasesJoin now and receive an initial $250.00 of SPUD credit, and another $250.00 of SPUD credit after six months of employment ($500.00 total)Must have a valid SPUD.ca account and be employed at the time of the credit administration (processed monthly)Extended Health Care Benefits (effective the first of the month after 90 days) including: massage therapy, acupuncture, naturopath, physiotherapy, psychologist, chiropractor, 80% dental and prescriptions covered, life insurance, travel insurance, discounted eye exam- and more
