The Assistant Manager leads his/her team to deliver optimal results based on the committed service standards, They must ensure key controls and audit requirements are fulfilled, and compliant with all applicable regulations.

Responsabilités

ºThis role is considered an essential role that may require you to be onsite at 199 Bay Street and work from home.ºManages the daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly reconciliation of suspense and internal accounts related to several products and systemsºEnsures that any irregularities and discrepancies are investigated and reported within the defined SLA and established key controls. ºEffectively manages various day to day tasks of the department such as management of department mailboxes and escalation handling. ºReviews and approves daily reconciliation and journal entries within his/her limitsºEnsures that all required reporting is completed and delivered in a timely manner to various stakeholders.ºAdministers the quarterly financial certification process.ºEffectively manages and coaches a team of accounting analysts – monthly one on one, team meetings, institutes best WFH practices while ensuring key deliverables are met as per SLA and established key controls.ºProvides support on internal and external audits.ºManages the maintenance of accurate accounting and financial information.ºMaintains and adheres to effective accounting and reconciliation controls at an individual, team, corporate logistics and LBCFG.ºCommunicates and collaborates with various Operations teams and Settlement teams to address any issues or inquiries related to reconciliation.ºMaintains good working relationships with internal and external clients to better achieve the department’s objectives ºEnsures that any deliverable is accurate, clear, complete, and compliant with internal and external audit and regulatory requirements.ºWorks with him manager(s) to enhance and improve policies and procedures for the reconciliation team and follows the change management processºParticipates in special projects and carries out any other similar or general task at the request of their managerºKeeps abreast of legislation, policies, and procedures, which relate to products and services

Qualifications

ºPost secondary education in Business Administration or Accounting, or in a related field.ºBilingual (English/French) verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.ºEnrolled in a professional accounting designation program is a strong asset.º5-7 years of work experience in a financial services industry, with at least 2-3 years of managerial experience.ºExperience in GL reconciliation and regulatory reporting.ºMust possess intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel and Outlook. ºExperience in leading process improvement initiatives.ºSolid knowledge of banking, digital banking, deposits, VISA, Mortgage, Loans, Securities, and other lending or investment products.ºDemonstrate strong analytical skills, ability to analyse situations, diagnose problems, and develop proactive solutions.ºExcellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.ºDemonstrate leadership and management skills.ºExcellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to concisely and clearly summarize results and effectively communicate to the team.ºFamiliarity with using large and complex financial database systems; ability to learn inquiry functions in back office processing systems such as SIBL, AS400, T24 and CPS are assets.ºExperience with MS Access an asset.
