Department Overview
TD Direct Investing provides financial services to clients who manage their own investments and empowers them to do so with confidence through state of the art technologies and access to information and support. We acquire and service clients through our Investor Centres (ICs), Investor Service Centres, investor education and our partnership with TD Canada Trust (TDCT) and Advice channels.

Job Description
The Direct Investing Role is a Business Development and Support role to our TD Canada Trust branches and ONE TD Partners. Our team’s primary focus is business development through OFI acquisition, client engagement with our extensive education center, support of our TDCT partners with colleague confidence via branch meetings, huddles and one on one business development sessions as well as identifying opportunities to franchise clients and refer back to our TDCT and ONE TD partners.
The successful candidate will be required to successfully complete the following courses: 1) Canadian Securities’ Course (CSC); 2) Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH); 3) 30 Day IR; 4) IRTP

Travel within the market of MEE (Toronto East, SNAP, Scarborough West, Durham, Markham and The North Districts)

Requirements

  • Strong self-motivation and organizational skills
  • Proven business development success within TD
  • Outbound call experience
  • Knowledge of the WebBroker platform
  • Familiarity and comfort with the account opening and transfer-in procedures
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Must successfully complete IIROC licensing requirements (CSC, CPH, IIROC Training Program) within nine months of start date
