Job Description

M-D Canada is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Digital Marketing Strategist to join our team! Starting as a 16 month contract position with the opportunity for permanent hire.

Education and Experience:

Ø  Post-Secondary Education: University/College with focus in Digital Marketing

Ø  3-5 years experience in a digital marketing related role

Ø  Proven successes in digital lead generation, nurturing, and conversion rates

Ø  Experience managing successful content marketing and social media campaigns, and a solid understanding of and participation in social media

Ø  Solid understanding of web metrics, digital analytics, with the ability to generate, analyze and interpret data

Ø  Experience working with different CMS platforms (WordPress, Joomla, Craft, Social/Google ad managers, landing pages, etc.)

Ø  Experience in creating landing pages and microsites. (HTML experience, an asset)

Ø  Experience in setting up and coordinating Marketing Automation, Email drip campaigns, social calendars, publishing and work flows

Ø  Knowledge, experience, and understanding of ERP systems (EPICOR, an asset)

Ø  Knowledge, experience, and understanding of CRM and Marketing Automation Software (SalesForce Marketing Cloud, and HubSpot, an asset)

Ø  Knowledge and experience in use of the Adobe Design Suite

Ø  Knowledge and experience in SEO management & maintenance

Ø  Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Ø  Knowledge of Prezi Presentation Software

Ø  Experience within the building products industry (an asset)

Ø  Self motivated with the ability to work in a team atmosphere

Ø  Very Organized…with a sense of urgency and the ability to prompt action where required

Ø  Extremely Trustworthy & Discreet…ability to work with proprietary information

Ø  The candidate must be comfortable in a customer facing environment and public speaking (sales presentations)

Ø  Time management skills are a must!

Ø  Must be able to work under constant deadline pressure and manage multiple projects across multiple lines of business

Ø  Strong management skills, excellent oral, and written communication skills

 

Summary of Tasks:

1.       Work with internal teams to complete website development projects

2.       Liaise with all 3rd party contractors for web and digital transformation

3.       Work with digital initiatives/add-ons for website development

a.       Customer portal integration

b.       A&D portal integration

c.       Consumer selection tools & apps

4.       Responsible for all web content edits, updates and inputs

5.       SEO management and maintenance on new websites

6.       Responsible for digital analytics, tracking and reporting as well as providing solutions or change of strategy based on the report analysis

7.       Responsible for digital lead-generating and lead nurturing initiatives through Marketing Automation software (Salesforce Marketing Cloud or HubSpot)

8.       Creation of social media and Google Adwords campaigns where suitable for overall marketing goals and objectives

9.       Monitor and track all social analytics and provide solutions to improve engagement and increase our social following

10.   Manage social media communication and activity

a.       Interact with followers on social media and pass technical inquiries and leads to the sales team

b.       Create and manage content calendars and publish to social media

11.   Assist and follow up on the social influencer strategy to ensure they are effectively promoting products in social channels

12.   Assist in e-commerce initiatives

13.   Create design briefs and liaise with graphic designer to complete design tasks when needed

14.   Prepare PowerPoint or Prezi presentations when needed

15.   Work closely with the sales and marketing team across all North America to collect market insight and report on competitor activity

16.   Understand Product Trends within their product category.

17.   Communicate with external clients as required

18.   Any other duties as requested by management
