Job Summary Reporting to the Director Technology; the DevOps Manager will manage the technology team. Key Areas of Responsibilities and Associated Duties Lead a team of talented software developers. Experience must be including CI/CD Pipelines, automated testing, performance testing, automated security and code quality checks Maintain and ensure the availability of our DevOps pipeline and tools in our environments Monitor and continuously improve DevOps KPIs. Assign and monitor workload; Develop and implement coding standards, software development processes and tools; Drive software development/engineering best practices; Translating software requirements to design specifications and communicate with team members; Establish and maintain realistic timelines for large feature sets, keeping management informed of changing circumstances; Translating software requirements to design specifications and scope of work documents, while communicating effectively with team members; Work with the Quality team to ensure release notes and documentation for accuracy; Own the overall software development life cycle of a project; and Participate in cross-functional projects. Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering is required A minimum of 3 years of experience as a DevOps manager A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in management with a proven track record of success in building, mentoring, and leading teams 5-10 years of experience as a Software Developer/Engineer is preferred Project Management certification or equivalent would be an asset Core Competencies Demonstrated ability to implement strategy, process improvement and quality management Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to coach, mentor and develop team members Possess advanced communication skills both technically and non-technically (verbally and in writing) Strong technical skills Multitasking and shifting priorities Adaptability Decision making skills and analytical skills Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively Solid Experience with AWS and in managing technical solutions in the cloud Experience in/with: developing and delivering Production grade products dealing with technology partners managing devops teams task management software, especially Jira Agile methodologies various DevOps tool-chains such as Git, Linux, SQL, Bash, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Consul, New Relic, Prometheus, Jenkins, Travis, Bamboo, Chatops, Nagios, Hadoop, Splunk, ELK Linux-based operating systems automation would be considered an asset Bilingual (French/English) is a must Who is TELUS?
