Job Description

Create the best possible experience for developers who build using Agility CMS by writing technical documentation, tutorials, code samples, and demo apps.

You'll tell the Agility CMS story in ways that connect with developers who want to be successful and agile in all that they do.

In this role, you’ll collaborate directly with our product and operations teams to create great content experiences for developers who build using the Agility CMS SDKs and APIs. You’ll join a team that’s devoted to growing and nurturing our developer community.

NOTE: Candidates must apply here but also complete the following questionnaire in order to be accepted:

  • Increase the size of the Agility CMS developer community
  • Help the growth team increase the number of free account signups
  • Help the product team increase the conversion rate of free to paid accounts

What You'll Do

  • Writing. As a Developer Advocate for Agility CMS, you'll spend a lot of time creating docs, blog posts, and tutorials that help to educate the developer community. This writing will appear on our websites, as well as on external publications.
  • Influencing. You'll become the head influencer for Agility CMS, and you'll become a leading void in the CMS Web Development field. This will happen online at StackOverflow, Reddit, our own support site, and many others.
  • Connecting. Get face to face at conferences either as an attendee, sponsor, or speaker. Get onsite and give demos. Give webinars and workshops to help strengthen and grow the community.
  • Coding. Be a leading contributor to our example code library of snippets and samples. Work closely with the team to create starter templates and example code to help show the benefits of Agility CMS.
  • Delighting. Use your creativity to delight others with innovative solutions to problems and contributing to other open-source projects and communities.

Your Qualifications

  • Technically capable, and comfortable with one or more programming languages, preferably JavaScript. You understand what a good SDK is and can write code samples. You’re excited about learning new technologies.
  • An active writer and a strong, passionate communicator. You use human language to describe how awesome it is to use computer language. Complex technical concepts are easy for you to describe.
  • You know what it feels like to be a developer. You may have come from a developer role previously, and you can connect with other developers easily.
  • You love wearing many different hats. You like having lots of different kinds of work to do.
