We are seeking a Delivery Driver Class G to join our team! The job title may be specific, but the experience will allow you to touch and learn about every aspect of our operations. As OVM grows, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our growth, and in return, we will contribute to yours. We are not looking for another employee. We are looking for a new team member!

Responsibilities:

• Verify all materials and accessories are loaded according to run
• Load and unload cargo
• Properly track and document activity log
• Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
• Inspect truck before and after trip
• Deliver all orders on run provided by fleet manager within delivery time frames
• Manipulate materials and tools to build, load and wrap skids for safe travel of orders when necessary
• Handle materials safely and properly when loading and unloading
• Ensure material is dropped off in a safe location and document
• Interact with customers in a professional manner

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields (will be considered an asset)
• Able to work well independently
• Commercial driver's license
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong work ethic
• Clean Driver’s Abstract showing:
  • No violations for the current year (last 12 months) and no more than 2 violations for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)
  • No accidents and maximum 5 demerit points for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months)
• A forklift license is not required but an asset. Training can be provided by OVM.

Working Conditions:

Driver will be exposed to hot and cold temperatures when working outdoors. They will also be required to work with various tools, power tools and machinery to build skids and package materials. Must be able to lift metal bundles up to 80 lbs and up to 10ft long repeatedly.

Overtime is very frequent in this position during peak period; however weekend shifts are very rare.
