Job Title: Data & Reporting Analyst

Location: 225 King Williams St., Hamilton ON, L8R 1B1-Canada

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Type: Full-time

 

Position Summary:

To support the organization in meeting goals and performance milestones of the Ministry by applying data reporting, analysis, and quality assurance to identified internal operations and external Service Provider trends.  Develops reports to monitor operations and programs, identify problems, and realize milestones achieved.  Supports operations and systems analysis, procedural development, training, systems advisement and administrative processes/infrastructure development and implementation.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform complex research, analysis, and reporting of large datasets on a wide range of operational and programmatic subjects.
  • Create data dashboards, reports, and visualizations to highlight trends.
  • Use data to optimize strategic efficiencies for Service Provider programming.
  • Mine employment placement data to support business development initiatives.
  • Present data and provide feedback to Service Providers and make recommendations, where appropriate
  • Handles queries from the Ministry and Service Provider management for requested data analysis and reporting.
  • Audit data on a regular basis to ensure data integrity and quality, and to identify potential data anomalies.
  • Train staff and business as necessary on data operational activities.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or information management.
  • 3-5 years prior experience analyzing data and providing solutions for efficiency.
