Data Analyst Co-op

About the team
The Analytics team is a part of the former Rubikloud company (recently acquired by Kinaxis), a machine learning software as a service company focused on solving complex problems for CPG and Retail clients in the planning and promotional space. We want to transform the way our clients make business decisions. As a data analyst co-op, you will be part of the team that tackles this challenge in collaboration with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Engineers and Product and Project Managers.
What you will do
Extract, transform and analyze data to answer key business questions and assist with product and model development
Compile insights and analyses into Excel, PowerPoint, or other formats as required with clear visualizations to convey complex concepts and data to non-technical audiences
Understand the delivery deployment process and challenges that our clients’ face, which can be better understood through wrangling and exploring their data
May perform additional projects upon request
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and use their passion for big data and analytics to provide insights around CPG and Retail businesses covering a range of topics. You will be responsible for conducting both recurring and ad hoc analysis internally and for our clients. If you love solving complex problems, analysing complex datasets, finding insights from data, and learning new technologies, this role is for you. You also meet the following requirements:
Proficient in SQL with hands-on experience with relational databases
Experience in Python is preferred but not required
Proficient working with Microsoft Office suite
Great communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail
Previous experience working in fast paced environments
Studying Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related fields
Things that Would Definitely Help
Understanding of data science terminology
Experience working with major cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, and GCP)
Retail, E-Commerce, CPG or Supply Chain business background
