We are currently looking for an experienced Cyber System Engineering Analyst to join our Ottawa Cyber team. In this role you will act as the subject matter expert in Cyber Security and will work closely with our customer and internal teams in the execution of the program.For the Cyber Engineering Analyst we are looking for practical experience in working with Splunk and ideally experience in one or more of the following areas; Network Security, Vulnerability Analysis, Threat Risk Assessment or Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Other areas of responsibility listed below.You will be responsible for reviewing customer inputsYou will monitor, support and document the system designParticipate in development design efforts, troubleshoot various systems which support the laboratory and operational environment.Working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary range of colleagues and stakeholders in order to work on the solutionWork closely with the Cyber Security Architect to support internal and formal technical reviews.Essential Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical/science/mathematics degree with continuous development of Cyber Security related professional knowledge and/or skills.3+ years of related experience.Practical experience with Splunk.Experience in one of the following areas: Network Security principles and practice, Vulnerability Analysis, Threat Risk Assessment, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) concepts with hands-on implementation as well as Operating System Hardening.Hands-On experience with one or more of the following products: Microsoft Enterprise network suite of software, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), VMware vSphere, ESXi & vCenterIdeally you will have experience in:Industry certification such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, GSEC, Security+, Network+, etc., or other related networking or security certifications would be viewed as an assetKnowledge and experience with current government and industry standards such as CSE ITS Guidance, DISA STIGs, ITSG-33, ITSG-22, NIST SP-800 suite, ISO/IEC and other related standards is an asset.Knowledge or experience of Security Operations Center (SOC) technologies such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Intrusion prevention System (IPS), and machine learning technologies is an asset.Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment.
