Credit Risk Manager
Our client is a growing Financial Services organization, currently seeking a diligent and motivated Credit Risk Manager to oversee a team of collections specialists and loan portfolio activity. The ideal candidate will have experience working in credit or collections and someone who can manage departmental performance with excellent leadership.
Location
: Vancouver, BC
Responsibilities:
Effectively manage the activities for delinquent and non-performing loan portfolios
Take measures to maximize recoveries and minimize losses within portfolio
Provide team leadership to ensure employees’ goals are met and the department meets annual objectives
Participate in hiring and performance management of employees through effective training and coaching
Analyze financial statements and identify issues relating to business insolvency
Provide strategic leadership for collection techniques and issues relating to legal action
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in senior Collections and Credit Management. Commercial or equipment leasing credit and collections experience is preferable
Proven leadership ability in managing a team
Post secondary education or equivalent work experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team
Strong business acumen with an ability to quickly attend to problems and also increase performance levels
Ability to demonstrate excellent professionalism, judgment and tact in all types of situations
