Reporting to the Vice-President, Corporate Development and Investor Relations, the Associate, Corporate Development, is an individual contributor role that will have an exciting opportunity to work as part of a team that directly influences the company’s strategic direction. They will play a role in strategic transaction initiatives, M&A/partnership due diligence, portfolio strategy, and value creation.Embody Auxly’s business mission and strategy and act in a responsible, ethical, and honest behaviour while consistently leading by example.Build detailed financial models to evaluate potential acquisitions, commercial development opportunities, divestitures, portfolio management, and strategic opportunities.Deliver insightful analyses of market opportunities and drive valuation and strategic analyses of opportunities.Provide analytical support and conduct due diligence on various M&A and partnerships.Create and manage models that deliver key insights on industry developments and trends to support the sourcing and evaluation of strategic partnerships, investments, and acquisitions.Assist in the development of corporate strategy materials and decks and assist in the research and/or analyses of ad-hoc requests.Provide support to the Finance team on capital raise activities.Assist Auxly’s Investor Relations team in monitoring capital market activities and in the development of investor-facing materials and decks.Develop and maintain exceptional business relationships with industry leaders in the cannabis marketplace.Other closely related tasks as assigned and as operationally required.A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in a Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Accounting, or closely related field and role.Strong analytical skills, and fluency in performing financial valuations and quantitative analyses in a partnership or M&A setting.Ability to formulate insights around complex business problems coupled with the ability to interpret and extract financial information from statements.Strong working proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.Self-starter and ability to work under evolving deadlines and ambiguity with little guidance, strong IQ/EQ.Auxly Cannabis is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from all qualified individuals.
