The Construction Manager is responsible for managing the client work site.The Construction Manager will oversee the activities of theSuperintendentand General Foreman assigned to theprojectand fostering a positive relationship with the Client by ensuring planning, monitoring, controlling, reporting, and administration standards are maintained to acceptable benchmarks.Site: CNRL HorizonStart Date:ASAPShift:10/4 shift rotationTravel: Flights provided from Edmonton or CalgaryAccommodations: Camp provided on-sitePre-access drug & alcohol test required for site access.Develop/maintaindetailed Project Construction Execution PlansContribute todevelopment of Project schedule and work plansAttend and contribute to morning toolbox and weekly safety meetingsLead daily debrief meeting with all site personnelandsubcontractorsEnsure Safety audit and inspection frequency is maintained for all site projects.Attend and contribute to morning toolbox and weekly safety meetingsParticipate with incident investigations/reporting and assist with close-outReview and developproject activity risk matrixEnsure Quality audit and inspection frequency is maintainedReview NCR’s and assist with close-outApprove requisitioning of site staffApprove requisitioning of site sub-contractorsAttend site progress meetingsSupervise and foster siteteamperformanceInitiate and maintain relationships withClients, subcontractors,and vendorsChair meetings with site supervisionto ensure safety, quality, schedule,and budget requirements are being adhered toAudit engineering and project controls departments to ensure change management is being effectively utilizedMaximize efficiency of company resources across the siteEnsure accurate and timely project reporting is maintainedReview and approve all billings before they are issued to the ClientVarious other duties as requested by managementCERTIFICATIONCSTO-09 or CSODrug & Alcohol AwarenessFirst Aid – Standard LevelLeadership for Safety ExcellenceH2S AliveFall ArrestConfined SpaceQUALIFICATIONSMinimum of ten (10) years of experience in industrial construction, involvingstoragetank,civil, structural, or mechanical scopesStrong knowledge of API 650 and API 653Must be able to define the scope of work and project specificationsMust be able to quantify activities, materials, and suppliesMust be able to determine critical pathsStrong understanding of construction safety and quality controlBasic accounting knowledgeExcellentproblem-solvingskillsStrong verbal and written communication skills.Skilled in MS Office (specifically Excel)Experience with Primavera is preferred
