Job Description

Working under the Director of Commercial planning, assist with implementation & realization of brand plans and objectives through sales force execution planning in the commercial division.  Provide thought leadership and market, insights, analytics, and strategy to shape the execution plans & programs for the TAAT commercial department. 

Key Responsibilities

Commercial capabilities development

·       Develop a commercial operating model to optimize TAAT’s marketing and sales efforts in executing brand positioning in market

·       Lead cross-functional partners in development of a commercial plan which delivers against financial, brand and customer experience goals

·       Develop and maintain an account segmentation to increase efficiency of field-sales efforts and effectiveness of points of distribution

·       Facilitate the development of annual sales for execution metrics, targets and strategic initiatives along with all necessary tracking

·       Develop the KPI and incentive plans to support commercial strategy achievement

·       Finalize long term strategy pertaining to but not limited to: retail channel (independent & Key Account) and ecommerce channel

In-year execution improvement and feedback loop

  • Oversee management of all course-corrections required in-year to annual plans based on real-time market developments and mange commercial plan changes accordingly
  • Become subject matter expert in what is happening promotionally from a competitive standpoint
  • Assist in development of key selling materials to ensure proper messaging to retailers and on-trade

 Oversight of Marketing and Sales alignment to commercial plan

  • Partner with Marketing to continue to refine and optimize offer constructs and strategies as business needs require
  • Attend and/or run key business meetings with operations, finance, marketing and field execution teams to ensure all strategies align
  • Work collaboratively with marketing to ensure proper materials are being produced, communicated, and executed to ensure impact at point of purchase and proper sell in
  • Manage sales promotional budget including budget development and payment execution
  • Align with Marketing and Finance on investment level

 

Monitoring and communication of progress and results to all key stakeholders

  • Track progress of inputs/outputs across cross-functional stakeholders while identifying gaps or risks and drive resolution as necessary
  • Coordinate all HQ planning and Field review meetings
  • Updates Sales and Marketing leadership on plan development progress
  • Align cross-functional partners to tool kit elements and timing
  • Track status of tool kit and coordinate delivery to teams as necessary
  • Establish tracker incorporating dates, deck status, outcomes, next steps, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years sales experience (in FMCG)
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex issues and solutions at the executive level
  • Strong working ability in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Presentation design, construction & delivery skill
  • Leadership skills in a cross functional setting across sales, marketing and operations
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Experience in sales & marketing functions
  • Influencing others and successful navigator in matrix organization
  • Interpersonal skills to build and manage long lasting relationships with internal cross functional partners and field teams
  • Financial acumen and P&L management with an understanding of the need for rigor regarding spending choices and the importance of ROI
