Job Description

We are looking for motivated and analytical CNC-EDM Operator to join our team at NASG Tech Center Inc., a division of North American Stamping Group. The successful candidate must have good knowledge of 3 axis machining centers and EDM machines.

The CNC Operator job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Set-Up and operate all CNC and other machines in an effective and cost efficient manner while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Make adjustments to the machining program as required.
  • Fabricate the required parts based on the Fabrication Drawing.
  • Perform required PM checks daily as required.
  • Follow work order specifications and packing instructions.
  • Ensure material is identified for Die number, work order number and quantity. If material is being used from stock, have stock number identified on work order.
  • Ensure material is checked for proper cut length before fabrication.

Qualifications we are looking for, but are not limited to:

  • Experience with 3-axis vertical and horizontal machining centers, and EDM machines
  • 3+ years of CNC experience working with clamping systems such as FCS
  • Experience with Master CAM and/or Tebis, an asset
  • Proven ability to read blueprints and use common measuring instruments such as a micrometer, a dial gauge, a deep micrometer, a Vernier, a measuring block, a height gauge and probe
  • Certificate of qualification as a General Machinist or Tool Maker and additional upgrading courses involving CNC technology
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proven attention to detail and multi-tasking skills in fast paced environment
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Passionate, and pro-active with a strong desire to learn
  • Experience in the automotive industry an asset
