This position will work days and evenings, including weekends and statutory holidays. Clerical and reception duties within the Ambulatory Care, including but not limited to patient registration, bookings, and other clerical and reception duties relevant to the ambulatory care operations and according to the hospital needs. This may include scheduling, and electronic payroll, contacting replacement staff in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreements and hospital policies. This position contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.Posted hours do not constitute a guarantee that shifts will not be subject to change.Skills and Qualifications:Medical Office Administration program diploma requiredEmployee scheduling experience required. Prior clerical, administrative support or clinical experience in a healthcare environment required.Demonstrated ability to work with a minimum of supervision. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with Staff and Managers. Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) required. Experience with Meditech modules (registrations, scheduling, OE. Purchasing, payroll, billings and accounts receivable, admissions, B/AR, materials management, med records, patient care, MSM)requiredWillingness to learn additional computer programs. Exemplary customer service and telephone skills with ability to complete written reports. Strong problem solving, organization, prioritization, and attention to detail is required.
