As an emerging role on the safety management team across all operating companies, the Claims Manager will be work closely with the Director of Safety to reduce claims. The Claims Manager will be responsible for tracking safety data and managing the claims process with the overall goal of lowering our claims. The Claims Manager will:Manage claims management process and policy by working closely with Director of Safety and managers; Train and enforce protocol surrounding incident reporting and claims submissions;Track safety data and through the assessment of numbers, mine for insights that produce opportunities for improvement;Proactively maintain and update company safety manuals;Produce reports on the status of WCB claims, incidents and injuriesRepresent all operating companies on all communication with the Workers” Compensation Board of BC;Advise managers in preparation for employees returning to work following injury;Keep our safety records in a tight and organized mannerOther safety responsibilities as required.The successful candidate is a safety professional that has the ability to think outside the box and communicate effectively to both internal and external stakeholders. You have the ability to build relationships with WCB and can articulate how our company’s safety programs stands out in comparison to other companies in the industry. You have experience with data collection and have the ability to find opportunities for efficiency and improvement through data analysis.
